Abstract
A method is described for treating frequency-dependent transmission losses of junction and trunks in a telephone connection so that the sum of the loudness ratings of the elements provides a good approximation to the true overall loudness rating. The method is compatible with that described elsewhere for defining sending and receiving loudness rating.
