  • Abstract
    Radiation losses due to curvature in optical waveguides with sinusoidal bends are found in terms of the amplitude and period of the fluctuation. For tolerable loss, the critical factor is the minimum radius of curvature, i.e. the radius of curvature at a point of maximum deviation.
