  • Abstract
An adaptive acquisition of PN sequences is presented for DS/SS communications. The E-CFAR detector is introduced to excise strong signals before the cell-averaging operation. Performance of the proposed detector suffers almost no degradation under the benign environment, and the degradation is quite small under multipath fading, in comparison with a conventional cell-averaging method.
