Abstract :
A circuit model for crosstalk between two braided coaxial cables is developed, using electric and magnetic field coupling parameters. The model is used to study crosstalk as affected by braid constructions and passive load impedances used as terminations in the intermediate circuit between cables. The results show that crosstalk is strongly affected by these passive terminations as well as the magnitudes and polarities of both electric and magnetic coupling parameters.
