Abstract :
Transient behaviour of lossy lines has been investigated and clarified. It has been shown that the lossy line terminated with a resistor ¿ (L/C) behaves similarly to a compensated resistive divider. Compensation occurs not only for distortionless lines, but also for so-called `quasidistortionless¿ lines.
