In this book, an enhancement of the first author´s 2004 Ph.D. dissertation, the authors treat the problem of output regulation for a nonlinear control system. There are a number of approaches to, and alternatives in the formulation of, such problems. One of the things that set this book apart is that the authors´ willingness to discuss and define the steady-state response. The book provides a deep level of historical review. The book is ambitious and rigorous, tackling some hard conceptual issues in a distinguishable way that the authors have made their own.
