  • Abstract
    University-based consultancy is part of the general picture of university/industry liaison. Various aspects of university/industry collaboration are reviewed briefly. Attention is drawn in particular to the rise of university-owned companies which focus academic consultancy and other activity into a more efficient and satisfactory commercial framework.
