Abstract :
A fully integrated 10 Gb/s optical receiver was realized with silicon ICs. The receiver was fabricated on a breadboard utilizing multicarrier assembly. Receiver sensitivity of -29.3 dBm was achieved using an Er-doped optical fiber preamplifier.<>
