Abstract :
The theory, implementation and industrial measurement applications of the correlation functions are described. The implementation methods discussed have been restricted to those using electronic circuits and software techniques. Sufficient background theory has been presented to enable measured functions to be interpreted and sources of error located. The industrial importance of the correlation function is reflected in the wide range of applications described.
