Abstract :
A class of regular signal sets for band-limited Gaussian channels is derived from Steiner systems. The signal sets exist when the number of dimensions n is of the form 6s + 1 or 6s + 3 , with s a positive integer, and contain n( n - 1)/6 signals. Bounds for the overall error probability when using this set are derived.
