Abstract :
Mersenne and Fermat transforms have been proposed as a way of computing convolutions for filtering applications. These transforms can be computed without multiplications and without roundoff errors. The letter points to the use of residue arithmetic as a way of relieving word-length limitations normally associated with these transforms.
