Abstract :
The commenter points out that electromagnetic backscattering from axially symmetric thin conducting bodies was discussed in a paper by S. Adachi (Proc. IEEE, vol.53, no.8, p.1067-8, Aug. 1965), which does not appear as a reference in the above-titled paper by R.M. James (ibid., vol.40, no.2, p.149-55, Feb. 1992). James replies that he was unaware of the earlier work and apologizes for his omission.<>
