  • Abstract
    The letter describes some improvements to a delta-sigma modulator when it is used as part of a p.c.m. encoder for telephony applications. These improvements reduce the clock-rate requirements of the modulator, which would otherwise be excessive, and also minimise problems introduced by the use of low-precision components.
