Abstract
It is shown that the bandlimited function extrapolation can be considered as an approximation problem in operator space. Within this framework, the Papoulis-Gerchberg method and two other methods for extrapolation are analyzed. Particular attention is given to approximation using Taylor and Chebyschev series, and to approximation using the Lagrange interpolation method
