Abstract
An expansion of the radiated fields of a linear antenna is given in terms of the eigenfunctions of the differential operator governing the antenna current. The expansion is used to find the solution of the antenna current under resonant conditions. The method proposed is an extension of one given earlier, and eliminates the need to apply boundary conditions to an integral operator.
