Abstract :
YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/ thin film step edge junctions have been studied using a magnetic field applied perpendicular to the substrate. The authors outline a theory to describe the magnetic field dependence of the critical current in the step edge junction geometry, and show that it is in broad agreement with the results of experiments.<>
