  • Abstract
    A dual-mode waveguide loaded with a dielectric ring has been optimised to give symmetrical field patterns in the E- and H-planes and very low crosspolarisation. The v.s.w.r. and phase patterns are also described. The device satisfies the requirements of a feed for deep reflectors.
