  • Abstract
A simple and efficient perturbative approach to analyze the electromagnetic coupling among circular horns is proposed in this paper. The method is based on an analysis tool which combines two different techniques: a mode matching (MM) technique for the propagation inside the horn and a method of moments (MoM) technique for the radiation of the horn taking into account the external part of all the horns of the cluster. The resulting linear system is solved via a very simple iterative procedure in which one can easily control the number of additive terms until the convergence is reached. The method can analyze arbitrarily large horn clusters with moderate computer resources. One of the main benefits of the new procedure is that one can exploit programs developed to analyze stand-alone horns also to evaluate the electromagnetic coupling
