Abstract :
One of the "buzz" phrases set to see us through the 1990s is that of business process re-engineering. With claims of improving business effectiveness and drastically cutting operating costs, it is capturing a great deal of interest. The author gives an overview of this process which has actually been around for a number of years under a variety of guises.<>
