Abstract :
The cutoff frequency of the first higher order mode in a rectangular stripline is determined by two disparate techniques and compared to published results. Results from a novel experiment verify the cutoff frequency predictions. Furthermore, a nomenclature scheme for uniquely identifying rectangular stripline modes is offered.
