Abstract :
The paper is concerned with the interference caused by the incidence of electromagnetic waves on interconnecting wires or cable harnesses in a shielded enclosure. In particular it describes three ways of using transmission-line modelling (TLM) for calculating the coupling of electromagnetic fields with wires. It also shows how TLM can be used to solve the propagation of energy along the wires to obtain the voltages and currents on the pins of electronic devices.
