  • Abstract
    Experimental data on the mechanical properties of Nb-Ti filaments during standard wire processing from first heat treatment size to final wire size are presented. The fiber characteristics examined include fiber geometry, hardness, Young´s modulus and ultimate strength. The mechanical behavior of fine filament Nb-Ti was studied under two different processing treatments. This research is relevant to the mechanical modeling of the Cu/Nb-Ti composite system.<>
