Abstract
The superconducting transition of two-dimensional systems is accurately characterized with a two-coil mutual inductance technique. A knowledge of the normal state sheet resistance R/sub N/ is necessary to incorporate the effect of eddy currents above the transition temperature. It is shown that, when carefully done, these measurements allow a determination of the real part of the impedance from R/sub N/ down to 10/sup -5/ R/sub N/, provided R/sub N/ is not exceedingly large.<>
