Abstract
A new form of expansion of multiple-valued logical functions in generalised Fourier series in terms of the Chrestenson functions is presented. It is shown that this expansion exhibits the property of `disjoint spectral translation¿ known in binary spectral logic design. This allows extending the possibility of low complexity realisation to a large class of multiple-valued logical functions.
