Abstract :
This letter describes the application of second-order eigenvalue sensitivities to multivariable control systems. The method, as developed, is particularly suitable for systems with distinct eigenvalues, which is usually the case for physical systems. The practical importance of the technique is demonstrated by performing dynamic stability calculations for a fourteenth-order power system.
