  • Abstract
    A frequency response method is presented for the simplification of linear multivariable systems. The method uses the properties of the characteristic loci and characteristic vectors of atransfer function matrix, with coefficients expressed in rational fractions of s, under analytic perturbation. Among other advantages, the order of the reduced model can be prespecified andcertain dynamical characteristics retained
