Abstract :
In the paper, an attempt is made at the examination of the shielding effectiveness of a system of two conducting slabs, when the excitation is a current filament placed above the system of the slabs. For the determination of the electromagnetic field the Helmholtz equation is used. The term of displacement current is not omitted as is usually the case. The problem is solved under steady-state conditions. The solution is carried out in the Fourier transform domain kx and the inverse transformation is obtained by the use of the fast Fourier algorithm.
