Abstract :
A description is given of the TIPS electronic table, a common user´s model that enables the end user to imagine and anticipate the actions of the system and thus develop it into a professional instrument. The objective of the electronic table design has been to simulate the use of an ordinary worktable/lightbox. The application support packages and system hardware are described, and the application of the table in prepress graphics work, image enhancement work, and page makeup is discussed.
