Abstract
Using the simplified approach to the dynamic modelling of a variable reluctance step ping motor system developed in a companion paper [1], this paper develops dimensionless pull out torque curves and stability limits. These curves can be used to optimise system performance and allow the effects of variations in system parameters to be appreciated.
