Abstract :
A novel single-chip video LSI for the high-band 8-mm camcorder has been developed. This LSI has succeeded in reducing the number if ICs, pins, and components, and the power consumption drastically. Three ICs, six external video filters, and other peripheral components have been built into this LSI, allowing 109 components to be eliminated and all the adjusting points to operate in EVR (electric variable resistor) operation. Consequently, using this LSI, a compact, low-power, high-picture-quality Hi8 camcorder can be achieved. This chip performance is summarized
