            Abstract : 
The Van Vleck equation relating the polarity correlation function to the direct correlation function is used to derive a new algorithm for the evaluation of the discrete Fourier transform of the direct correlation function. Application of an implementation of the algorithm to correlation-based measurement is discussed.
