Abstract :
Theory indicates that the transmission line transformer has the capability of perfectly matching, at a single frequency, any resistance ratio greater than four to one, and that it can maintain a close, although not perfect, match over a very broad frequency band for resistances whose ratio ranges from somewhat below to well above the commonly used value of four to one.
