Abstract
The authors present an approach for the dynamic stability analysis of power systems possibly including DC facilities and static VAr equipment. To illustrate a typical application of the computer program described, a system is selected which includes a DC tie interconnecting two large networks, and static compensators which are used to regulate AC voltages. Synchronous generators in the network on the inverter side are dedicated to the interconnection. Regulators to damp oscillations of the dedicated generators are investigated with eigenvalue analysis and Bode plots, which are automatically generated by the program on request.<>
