Abstract :
An ultra-small athermal arrayed-waveguide grating module with 100 GHz-spacing and 40 channels has been demonstrated by using 2.5%-Delta silica-based waveguides. The module size is only 30 times 10 times 5 mm with a low insertion loss of 2.0-2.9 dB.
