Abstract
Experiments have been conducted to show the effects of H2 S, SO2 , NO2 and Cl2 in simple and complex mixtures on several contact materials. The results have led to the use of two complex mixtures, with and without Cl2 and containing 200 ppb each of H2 S, SO2 and NO2 for industrial environment simulation. Acceleration factors were estimated to be on the order of 30-40 times at 30°C.
