Abstract :
Intelligent middleware will enable providers and consumers of satellite imagery data to interact on a large scale. Our Genie system, a prototype software infrastructure, demonstrates that a software agent-based approach is a powerful, flexible paradigm for implementing such large-scale, autonomous, distributed systems
