Abstract
The radiation properties of a crossfed microstrip array antenna are examined. It is shown that the antenna phase-difference characteristic is theoretically ambiguity-free over all angles. Experimental results confirm that the instantaneous field of view (i.f.o.v.) of a microstrip phase-monopulse array antenna is widened by a factor of 3 compared to two separate antennas in contact.
