Abstract
A new variant of the least squares boundary residual method (LSBRM) is presented, which takes into account electromagnetic field singularities at metal-dielectric edge due to the existence of the Gibbs phenomenon. Systematic weighting functions are used in this method allowing one to obtain accurate and efficient numerical results with accelerated convergence. The structure to be analysed is enclosed in a resonant cavity and the resonant frequency is calculated using the least squares criterion
