  • Abstract
    Three multiprocessor systems designed, implemented, and currently operational at Carnegie-Mellon University are compared and contrasted. The design goals and architectures are summarized with a special focus on reliability features. Experiences gained in design and operation are discussed. Finally, reliability data, with a focus on transient failures, measured from each system are presented and discussed.
