  • Abstract
    An improved framing circuit is described, which checks all the consecutive data bits in a frame for possible framing-bit candidacy. A lumped absorbing Markov-chain model is established for characterising its reframe process. A general algorithm is presented for finding the average reframe time directly from the transition matrix.
