Abstract :
A new configuration using only two operational amplifiers and a single resistor that simulates a series LC-type resonator is presented. The resonator realized is nonideal in that the driving point impedance simulates on one-port which is a combination of an ideal series LC resonator and a shunt resistor. Suitable insertion of three more resistors enables the resonator to be tuned independently for its ω0and Q at low active and passive sensitivities. Finally, an application of the active resonator in the realization of an active-R tunable low-pass filter is reported together with experimental verification.
