Abstract :
A new simple, accurate, and instantaneous low-frequency counter based on the time-discriminant connectionist system , is proposed. The new counter could be used as a general-purpose frequency counter to measure a wide range of low frequencies. The accuracy of the proposed counter can be increased by increasing the number and the size of the EPROMS used and by increasing the clock frequency. Measurements from a prototype system agree well with the analysis.
