Abstract :
A mixed method is proposed for the reduction of high degree multivariable systems using the Padé approximation technique and the Routh-Hurwitz array. This method avoids computation of the poles of the original system and does not involve matrix inversion. It guarantees stability of the reduced model when the original system is stable.
