Abstract :
The method presented is, first, for the solution of the order determination and minimal realisation problems for constant-coefficient linear systems and, secondly, for the construction of extensions to given impulse-response sequences. The approach presented is thought to be considerably simpler than the previous methods described by Kalman and Ho.
