Abstract :
Measurement of recombination radiation emitted from planar Gunn-effect devices having either plane parallel or concentric electrodes suggests that hole injection at the anode may be the most important mechanism for the thermal break down of these devices, as earlier proposed by Jeppsson and Marklund
