Abstract :
A three-stage microwave integrated circuit (MIC) power amplifier has been constructed on a beryllia substrate with a lumped element circuit in the 800 MHz band. The amplifier developed is compact in size (20 mm x 25 mm) and accomplishes high performances at relatively low supply voltages. The output power can deliver 10 W, and 40 percent of the total efficiency can be cleared in the 800 MHz frequency band when operated at 13 V and input power of 40 mW. Further, this amplifier can be fabricated without adjustment in reproducibility, and the fluctuation of the output power is small. For 98 percent of sample products of 60 sets manufactured, the fluctuation of output power was less than _+0.3 dB.
