Abstract :
An optimised algorithm for real-time implementation of the discrete Wigner distribution (DWD) is presented. The algorithm makes use of the symmetry properties in the Wigner kernel and computes the analytic signal recursively in the time domain. Its computation complexity is found to be very small compared with the direct implementation of the DWD when real-time processing is needed.
