Abstract
An analysis is developed for calculating the coupling parameters of a thin inclined rectangular coupling aperture arbitrarily located in the transverse plane of a rectangular waveguide. The analysis uses the aperture basis 2-function approach of the moment method. The calculated results for different aperture geometries and for a X-band band-pass filter realized with three resonant apertures have been confirmed to have a good accuracy with experiments
