A systems approach to ventures

New ventures are complex, working towards specific overall aims by means of many separate and diverse activities. A system is defined as an organised or connected set of diverse parts, so maybe, by taking a systems-based approach to new ventures it would be possible to achieve consistently successful outcomes. Here, the authors argues that major ventures can only succeed if all parties agree on clear aims and detailed means at the outset, by looking at the project as a single system
