Abstract
The reasons for choosing circularly polarized transmission for two new high-power UHF-television-transmitting stations are described and the results of the data so far obtained are summarized. Subscription television (STV) applications permitted the use of circularly polarized receiving antennas at subscriber locations, thus maintaining the circularly polarized nature of the system.
